Walt Disney World is a massive resort! All of the property that Disney owns in Orlando is 47 square miles, which famously is twice the size of the island of Manhattan. Getting around can take some time, so it’s really important to know how to get from your hotel to the parks, and, if you’re park hopping, how to get from one park to another. So far in the Guide 2 Disney World Transportation, we’ve covered how to get to Magic Kingdom and how to get to Epcot, and today we’re showing you how you can get to a park that shrinks you down to the size of a toy and blasts you off to a galaxy far, far away. That’s right, we’re showing you how to get to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, whether by car, bus, Skyliner, or even by foot.
Here’s every way you can get to Hollywood Studios at Disney World.
What Is Hollywood Studios’ Address?
351 S Studio Dr, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830
How to Get to Hollywood Studios if You’re Driving
If you are driving to Hollywood Studios, you will want to park in the parking lot. Set your GPS for 351 S Studio Dr, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830, or just put in Hollywood Studios in Google Maps or Apple Maps. There’s only one way into the parking lot, and that’s through the Hollywood Studios Toll Plaza, which you can enter off of Victory Way, across from Disney’s Art of Animation and Pop Century Resorts.
Hollywood Studios has a massive uncovered parking lot, which is divided into 5 smaller lots. The Minnie and Mickey lots are closest to the entrance, but the entire lot fills up first come, first serve, so the first guests will be able to park closest to the entrance. If you arrive later in the day, you might get lucky with a closer spot, since some of the guests who arrived in the morning will have left.
- Minnie Parking Lot
- Mickey Parking Lot
- Jessie Parking Lot
- Buzz Parking Lot
- Olaf Parkling Lot
After parking, make note of where you parked and follow the signs to the park’s entrance. As of this writing, parking lot trams are still not running at Walt Disney World. We expect them to return sometime in 2022.
How to Get to Hollywood Studios by Walking
Can you walk to Hollywood Studios? Yes! You can actually walk to Hollywood Studios from any of the Epcot area resorts and even Epcot through the back International Gateway entrance (Located between France and United Kingdom in World Showcase). There is a long waterside pathway that stretches all the way from Hollywood Studios to Epcot’s International Gateway Entrance via the Boardwalk Resort. This is a bit of a lengthier walk than getting to Epcot from the Epcot Area Resorts, so you also have the option of using the bus or Friendship Boats to get to and from Hollywood Studios from these resorts.
From closest proximity to Hollywood Studios to furthest, here’s everywhere you can walk to Hollywood Studios from.
- Disney’s Boardwalk Resort
- Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Walt Disney World Swan Hotel
- Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel
- The Swan Reserve
Here is a map highlighting the walking paths to Hollywood Studios through the Epcot area resorts. Note, if you are coming from the Swan and Dolphin, start on the Swan side of the water. Walk in the direction of the Boardwalk, but keep right along the water before you get to the Boardwalk’s entrance.
Can you walk from Art of Animation or Pop Century? We wouldn’t recommend it, as there’s not a good walking path like there is from the Epcot area resorts. Instead, take the Skyliner or Bus from those two resorts.
How to Get to Hollywood Studios by Boat
If you don’t feel like walking, you can also take a boat from any of the locations mentioned in the walking section. Disney World has Friendship Boats that runs the following route from Epcot to Hollywood Studios and back. Here’s the route:
- Epcot International Gateway Entrance (Located between France and United Kingdom in World Showcase)
- Disney’s Boardwalk
- Disney’s Beach and Yacht Club Resorts
- Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Most routes run on a 15-30 minute interval. Just look for the signs that say “Friendship Boats to Hollywood Studios.” The Friendship Boats also run the opposite route toward Epcot, so be sure to make sure you are in the line for Hollywood Studios.
How to Get to Hollywood Studios by Skyliner
Disney World has a relatively new suspended gondola system called the Skyliner. Depending on your origin and your destination, a Skyliner trip can take anywhere from 3 to 15 minutes. The Skyliner goes pretty high above Disney World, which offers great views but you might want to avoid it if you are afraid of heights. The Skyliner runs until 1.5 hours after Epcot closes.
The Epcot Skyliner station is located outside the International Gateway entrance.
The Disney Skyliner has stations at the following locations:
- Epcot International Gateway (End of Line)
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort (The Skyliner Hub / Transfer Station)
- Disney’s Riviera Resort
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort /Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (Shared Station – End of Line)
How to Get to Hollywood Studios by Bus
Hollywood Studios has a bus station located near the Skyliner Station, just outside the main entrance. If you want to get to Hollywood Studios from the following locations, the Disney World bus system is your best bet:
- Magic Kingdom / TTC
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Disney Resorts
- Disney Good Neighbor Hotels
Can you get to Hollywood Studios by Monorail?
The monorail does not run directly to Hollywood Studios. You could technically take the monorail to Epcot, then walk through the park, walk out the International Gateway Entrance, and then get to Hollywood Studios via Skyliner, Friendship Boat, or walking. This would be a very long way to get to Hollywood Studios, so we wouldn’t recommend it, but it’s technically possible.
How to get to Hollywood Studios from Magic Kingdom
You have two options:
- Take the monorail or boat to the TTC. From there, get on the bus to Hollywood Studios.
- At the bus station just outside Magic Kingdom’s entrance, get on a bus to the Boardwalk Resort or the Swan/Dolphin. From there, take a Friendship Boat or walk via the pathway detailed above to Hollywood Studios
How to get to Hollywood Studios from Epcot
As detailed above, you have a few options, but all of them go from the International Gateway entrance of Epcot. So first, head out the International Gateway, located between France and the United Kingdom in World Showcase. Then, choose your mode of transportation:
- Take the Skyliner to Hollywood Studios
- Take the Friendship Boat to Hollywood Studios
- Walk via the pathway by the Boardwalk Resort (detailed above)
How to get to Hollywood Studios from Animal Kingdom
There is a bus that will take you directly from the bus station outside Animal Kingdom to the Hollywood Studios entrance.
How to get to Hollywood Studios If You’re Coming from Disney Springs
Take the bus to either the Boardwalk or Swan/Dolphin. From there, walk to Hollywood Studios.
How to get to Hollywood Studios If You’re Staying at a Disney Resort or a Good Neighbor Resort
You will have a few different options depending on where you’re staying. Here are the best ways depending on which resort you’re at:
- Epcot Area Resorts – Boardwalk, Yacht and Beach Clubs, Swan, Dolphin, and Swan Reserve: Use the walkway or Friendship Boats
- Skyliner Resorts – Riviera, Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, Art of Animation: Use the Skyliner or bus
- All other resorts – Use the bus
Can I take an Uber or Lyft to get to Hollywood Studios?
Yes! It will drop you off at the designated ride share drop-off and pickup outside the entrance.
